OK, will look into that. Thanks.

Forgot to mention - SFU works on Windows 2K, XP - i.e. you don't need
a Windows Server to use it, can just install on any Windows desktop
machine.

MS Windows Services for UNIX:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversystem/sfu/default.mspx
Free (albeit bloated) download that provides a collection of unix
tools (including an emulation layer etc) for Windows.

Hmmm, unix2dos is a text file format converter, cygwin is
overkill, not sure what you mean by MS services for Windows, and
never heard of U/WIN. I will look into the last item. Apparently M
$ inlcluded RCP in the Resource Kit for the Server 2000 family,
but never did one for XP.
Any other thoughts?

You could try unix2dos, Microsoft services for windows, cygwin or
U/WIN
