Just a followup -- I should add that this has also been brought up

I think you need to be a member to read that article, but it's basically
the same as the above; some users included a few details on the issues
they were having.
Be sure, of course, to enable the vray plugin in the maya plugin manager,
and you may need to set the 'vray' plugin to 'autostart' (this from someone
who was evaling the vray plugin, and was initially having trouble with the
vray plugin using vray standalone licenses)
