Thanks Greg. Its maya my, which currently renders fine on the farm. Creating partitions (basically iterating the sim x number of times to set random seeds and cache the results) can, I think, be spread across machines but I’m not sure of the commands. I’ll look into it.[posted to rush.general]

I'm not familiar with it, as you're the first to ask.
If it has a command line interface it should certainly be possible.
The first place to start is to have you show a command line that renders the scene, preferably given a frame range or some such.
If you're rendering within Maya (using Krakatoa as a plugin), then show a working "Render -r ..." command line.
BTW, which will you be using, MX (3dsmax), MY (maya) or SR (standalone)?
I imagine if it's a plugin to maya (MY), it /might/ be as simple as just adding a new -r render flag option to the submit-maya script. For "standalone" (SR) a separate script would likely be needed, though you should be able to test with submit-generic.
