Drawing of a young witch for my film, standing
on a hill in a field.
Pencil on paper, drawn on the back of a discarded
employee "thank you" letter from Walt Disney Studios
management to my ex-girlfriend, thanking her for joining
the Pocahontas production as a clean-up artist. It reads:

Dear Terry,
Thanks for lending your skills and talent to Pocahontas.
Your contribution is appreciated by all of us at Feature
Animation.
A warm welcome as you join the production.
All the best,
..and it's torn off there.
I must have plucked it out of her waste basket, as I like
to draw on anything; the drawings seem to come out better
when they're on the back of discarded items. Probably because
there are wrinkle patterns in the paper that inspire my mind,
instead of that plain white emptiness of a fresh white sheet.
