Recalling a dream over coffee at Denny's; a childhood girlfriend in the back seat of her parent's car while driving down a country road, her hair snaking up to the ceiling from an open window. Drawn on the back of a Denny's de-caffinated (green ring) coaster at about 4am in the morning. I often bring a book to Denny's at 1am, and read for a few hours, or sometimes doodle on the placements and coasters. In this case, a Denny's in Woodland Hills, CA. According to the date, this was a few weeks after the 9/11 Trade Center attack.
