I installed a few of these ball valves (aka. 'hose bibs') around my house. I like their design; goes from full-off to full-on with a single 1/4 turn, very positive 'off', no washers to go bad, cycling the valve induces very little wear. Also, easy to see from far away if it's on or off.
Also, you don't have to stand there spinning an overly precise hand valve
that takes 8 or 9 turns of the hand. |
